Shame Of The Nation

This story caught my eye tonight and I must confess I am totally disgusted by it.
Whilst I have indulged in some gentle England bashing through this medium I cannot condone the violence involved in the reported incidents. To physically assault a disabled gentleman and a seven year old kid purely because of the shirt they have chosen to wear is unforgivable.
To the perpetrators of these attacks I say this. Crawl back under the rocks from which you came. You have brought nothing but shame to this country.
On behalf of all true Scots I would like to apologise to Hugo Clapshaw and Ian Smith for the moronic actions of two of my brothers. As a nation we (Scotland) have a reputation for embracing different cultures and providing assistance and security to those less fortunate than ourselves. Sadly tonight that reputation lies in tatters. A truly sad day for the nation.

I have no idea why my email didn't go through to you Dave. I sent this to you yesterday:

Awwwww Dave, this was very sweet of you to apologize. Actually, I was thrilled to have the excitement on my blog. A little confrontation is okay as long as someone is not throwing insults at me. Mark is a bit disillusioned. I spent many years in the same state. But... I'll give him the fact that he was at least respectful of my blog and wasn't hateful.

I didn't mind at all, I promise.

Thanks for your compliments. You should know, you really did save me from giving up blogging there for a while. I'm glad you have continued to read. I have been enjoying yours as well. You're a talented writer and you should definately keep it going.

Ohhhh and my childless weekend... big flop. My ex cancelled his plans to have my son for the weekend, so I guess I'll be chained to something sane this weekend. As soon as I get the chance though, I'm off on that road trip.

Keep in touch.

Dont get down about it mate. I think back to the Scoltland - England games and we used to have a blast.
In the pubs before and after the games and though there was loads of banter in was always fine. It seems that it has for ever been the minority that drags us down.

Off subject: Is it me or does Shandi have a look of a cetain Punk Singer. Ah! we will never know. Its a Mythtery!

Shandi

I'm sorry but I fear that Llamy is referring to a UK punk lady by the name of Toyah.

I believe that she married Peter Frampton but I could be wrong. Anyway suffice to say it was not intended as much of a compliment.

When do we get to see your new teeth then?

Shandi. I am astounded! I was well brought up and would never insult someone I have never even met so ignore Dave's comment.
Dave,
As it happens I had a thing about Toyah in my younger days!!!!!!!! I know, I Know! You get over these things though.
Suffice to say it was said as a serious comment and no insult intended but as I have now visited Shandi's site and seen the Punk hairstyle, well lets just say I was definetly wrong!!!
She was really married to Pete Frampton (Humble pie and Steve (my man) Marriot!) That a new one to me and I will now go check that out.
