Just a quick one today...it's been a bit of an odd week. Good things appear to be happening to those around me with opportunity presenting itself. Given the characters involved I have no doubt that success will quickly follow for each.
"What are these opportunities?" I hear you ask...well let me explain.
The middle of the week saw a musician friend (MF) of mine finally sign his UK recording and publishing deals, the American ones have been in the bag for many months. This great news was quickly followed by the announcement that two acquaintances had concluded the protracted deal to acquire a new bar/club. I have now been invited to the official opening on Thursday when the live music will be provided by my musician friend.
The good news continued on Saturday when myself and MF went for a drink to celebrate. Rather than our usual Saturday afternoon haunt we had received a call from another acquaintance who had just got the keys to his new bar and invited us along for a look. Several bottles of Budvar and a fantastic chorizo and red onion pizza later I emerged, blinking in the fading afternoon light feeling good about the world.
Whilst I am obviously delighted for everyone involved I am once again left with the feeling that the only person I know who is standing still is me. Ho hum!

Your not the only one standing still mate. I am too. Unless I'm actually going backwards, in which case you probably are the only one standing still.
Does any of that make sense?
More importantly, has it made you feel any better?
