In an attempt to divert a potential international incident due to the behaviour of a sad arse Brit towards my friend Shandi I decided to post this.
One of the British national daily newspapers has recently been asking its readers "What it means to be British?"
This entry was submitted by a Swiss gentleman and for me it about sums up the confusion a number of Brits feel since they lost The Empire.
Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. And the most British thing of all?
Suspicion of anything foreign.

LOL that was damn funny!!! I've been to Ireland a couple of times and found this to be pretty damn close. I had no idea there was so much diversity.
Hmmmmmmmm let me see........
I'm a British girl, married to a Californian man. I'm resident in Egypt but currently typing from Virginia. We drive a Japanese car and own a home in Spain. I love Chinese and Thai food and drink mainly Dutch beer and Australian wine. I have Scandinavian furniture and Turkish carpets.
I am proud of my passport and proud of my nationality but if I'm honest...........
I think that the best thing about being British is not having to be there at all.
